Rarely - and I mean extremely rarely - am I impressed w/businesses who expect a pat on the back for doing what they should have done. They’ve hung a shingle and perform a service for clients for money. Some of them are honest, and too many of them are not. Never have I experienced with any other repair shop what I’ve experienced with Mr. Transmission (Charlotte/Matthews location). Joe took my car, and my panicked phone call and calmed me down immediately. “We’ll take a look at it and see what comes next.” When he called me back after having the car driven and tested (over several days), he said what happened seems like a simple anomaly -“chest pains” is how he described it. Hugely relieved, I asked what the damage was. To my complete surprise, Joe asked me only for a review. Which I am more than happy to provide. Going further, based on my experience with Mr. Transmission, they will always be first on my list as long as I have this particular car, I’ll call them first if any of my other three cars act up, and I can tell you they’re going to be receiving some A+ positivity on Facebook. Joe could have charged me. He could have made something up and made me open my wallet for a fictious repair. Instead, he was honest. And gained my hard-earned respect in more ways than one.
