Impressive service and integrity. I have been doing most of my own auto repairs for the last 30 years. So I am acutely aware that finding repair shops that can be trusted are rare. Frank at Mr. Transmission is one of those repair shops that can be trusted, and a rare find. My Trailblazer's 4 wheel drive transmission failed on me, and I chose Mr. Transmission, not based on price, but based on reputation. Although, their price was reasonable. They provided a full rebuild, to OEM specifications. The trailblazer ran great after the work. Here is the kicker. After a couple of weeks, I called them and let them know that I was concerned with the transmission's recent behavior. They didn't hesitate. They came and retrieved my Trailblazer within the hour, and took it to their shop for inspection. The transmission has been performing flawlessly ever since. These guys are on their game. Oh, and no charge for the follow up service. Just good guys, standing behind their work. I will be recommending these guys to my wife and daughter when the time comes for their transmission service.

Mr. Transmission gave me a sense of ease based on my situation. Having a conversion with Frank on my situation made me feel valued as a customer overall. Just getting hourly updates on the vehicle made me feel like I really chose the right person to take a look at my vehicle. I most definitely will recommend their services to anyone that needs someone to take a look at your vehicle.

Professional Customer Service. Attention to Detail and receiving updates about the vehicle was more than expected. Recommend anyone to speak with Frank based on mechanical issues and just getting information about what you should do when it comes to repairing your vehicle

I had my bmw 650i brought in for a transmission diagnostic due to the car not being able to shift out of second gear. Joe who I primarily spoke with was a nice guy and was prompt with responses. They took the tranny apart and I was told the torque converter was bad and the megatronic valve sensor was bad and it would cost $7100 to rebuilt the tranny. A used tranny costs about 1200-1500 so I opted to just have it replaced with a used one. There was some delay is getting the replacement shipped so I told them I would just take the car back and return it when I got everything sorted out. They said this was fine and they would have it ready to pick up. I gave them a complete car.. what I got back was a car with no transmission in it, several large parts including the tranny, and a bag of small parts. 35% of my car is currently sitting on my storage room. I also got a major oil leak which was not present when the car was given to them. I also got a lot of additional service lights regarding my ABS and suspension system. And a $750 bill for them to tear the car apart and send me back the scraps. I’m also missing several screws to the parts they took out. Lesson learned. I would not recommend anyone take there vehicle to this place. The customer service was good but the service clearly is not. UPDATE: I received an email from what I believe to be the mr transmission Corp office concerning. The review I left on their site. They requested to know the shop that I took the car too then proceeded to explain that mr transmission never puts the transmission back in the car on a diagnostic check unless the cust requests it be put back. Problem is they never told me that they didn’t put it back in until it got picked by AAA. Nor did they tell me none of the under carriage of the car would be put back either. they also stated that the $700 bucks they charged to diagnose the trans does not include putting it back and doing so would incur an additional cost which I assume is $1000 since that what’s they quoted me to install a replacement trans. So $700 to take it out then $1000 to put the same transmission they took out, back in (Also not told to me) The level of professionalism and disclosure of information at the this place beyond Terrible. I’m still waiting to hear back from someone there.

Took my car in thinking my recently-installed clutch was failing. Took it to Mr. Frank and Mr. Joe, and they checked it out and made some adjustments and it was perfect. Mr. Frank told me that they couldn't find anything wrong and wasn't going to try like other places have done. Wish I had taken it to them BEFORE I replaced it. Those guys care and remind me of Dads everywhere who believe in truly caring for their customers and keeping them safe. If you need a fair and trustworthy transmission mechanic, Mr. Transmission on E. Independence is the ONLY place to go in Charlotte.

They saved a beach trip!! My transmission had a problem that had to be fixed before a trip and even though they were completely covered up in work they not only found the problem, they fixed it in time for my trip! Very fair price, honest and caring. We haul a trailer full with canoe, bikes, fishing gear, tones of beach stuff . Not to mention two very large dogs. My transmission would not have made it. So many thanks to my heroes at Mr. Transmission. Runs like a champ now!

I made an appointment for an estimate on a rear differential problem. Got there at the appointed time and was told "That'll be about a 2 hour wait before we can get you in." They could have called and let me know they were short handed, but they did not. Won't be going back there. Buster's Transmission Service will be getting my business now.
